November the 15th 2011, Charbel Farhat, Vivian Church Hoff Professor of Aircraft Structures at Stanford University, was awarded the Medal of Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Academiques by Bernard Larrouturou, Professor of computing and mathematics.
